North Dakota EMS Association
Website Use and Administration
It is the policy of the North Dakota EMS Association to foster an image of a “North Dakota EMS Community” in the use of its website and to provide meaningful and relevant information to its members. NDEMSA also recognizes the commercial aspects of its internet presence and therefore establishes the following policies regarding sharing of information, posting of news articles, event announcements, employment openings, marketplace ‘for sale’ items, and banner advertising.
PRIVACY OF MEMBERS
It is the policy of the North Dakota EMS Association not to lend, give, or otherwise make available, in any form, to any third party; the bulk contents of its database, list serve email addresses, or personal information regarding its members. The association may provide printed mailing labels to EMS or healthcare related organizations with the prior approval of the President or Executive Director. An appropriate fee shall be charged for the preparation of mailing labels.
REFUND POLICY
Membership or Society Dues are not refundable. Conference Registration Fees are fully refundable if written notice of cancellation is received 10 business days prior to the first day of the conference. For notices of cancellation received between 10 business days and 1 business day prior to the first day of the conference, a $25.00 processing fee will be retained and the balance of registration fees will be refunded. No refunds of conference fees will be made in the case where no written notification is provided to NDEMSA. All refunds will be processed through the credit card provided to NDEMSA for the originating transaction.
HOMEPAGE BANNER ADVERTISING
Banner Advertising on the site’s homepage is available for a monthly fee of $15, or $150 per year if paid in advance. Banner advertising is free at the Corporate Sponsorship level of $1,000 per year provided the business is EMS or healthcare related. Banner advertising is also free to Premium Squad Affiliate members. A one-time setup fee of $25 will be charged for initial setup. Banner ads must be supplied in a 438x107 pixel .gif file format. NDEMSA does not prepare artwork for banner ads.
NEWS ARTICLE / CALENDAR EVENT POSTINGS
News articles and calendar events are happily posted to the site provided they meet the following criteria:
· The article is relevant to EMS or healthcare issues.
· The article cannot be “commercial” in nature, or promote a for-profit endeavor.
· The article cannot be inferred as to mean an endorsement of or recommendation by NDEMSA for a product, service, or other enterprise. Such news or events are better posted by means of a banner ad.
· The article is not better suited for another website (as determined by the webmaster).
· The calendar cannot hold “all” educational opportunities available in ND; therefore, NDEMSA makes no guarantee regarding posting of course offerings. If there is space, we will make every effort to post the course; but, we make no formal promises.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES / FOR-SALE MARKETPLACE
· Employment opportunities (job openings) are accepted from “EMS Industry” affiliated companies, ambulance services, training institutions, etc. There is no charge for these postings; however, the ambulance service, training institution or company must be an affiliate squad member or corporate sponsor of the association.
· Marketplace postings must be EMS related vehicles or equipment. No articles of a personal nature will be posted.
