Frequently Asked Questions

1.  Should I pre-register?

We strongly recommend you pre-register to save time and money.  On-site registration is available with a $25.00 late fee added.  The fastest and easiest way to register is online at www.ndemsa.org.  Don’t forget to register by March 16, 2009 to save the late fee – register early and save money!

2. What’s the best way to register?

There are many ways to register.  Many attendees find online registration to be the most convenient and quickest.  You will receive an instant confirmation of payment when registering this method.  Go to www.ndemsa.org for the conference brochure and registration.  You can also mail or fax in the registration form.  Remember, one registrant per application.

3. How do I get CEU credits?

After the conclusion of each session you will receive a certificate.  Please put your name on it immediately and secure it as these cannot be replaced.

4. Do I need to choose courses now?

No, core conference sessions can be selected that day.  We recommend for pre-conference sessions that you select them early as they do fill up.  All concurrent sessions have room limitations per fire code, if a room is full please move onto a room with seating availability.

5. I pre-registered and received an envelope in the mail with my badge and other information.  What do I need to bring?

You need to bring ALL of these items that you received in the mail with you to the BAG PICK UP DESK to receive the remaining conference materials (bag, program book, handouts, etc.)

6. I pre-registered, but I did not receive my badge or confirmation in the mail.  What do I do?

You most likely registered after the March 16 deadline and there was no time to mail you a confirmation package.  The deadline to register and/or postmark your registration is March 16, 2009.  This date is to allow enough time to process your registration and postal service delivery.  However, you should be in the system, so you can pick up your name badge and bag at the pre-registration desk marked “WILL CALL”.  If you have a print off of your registration, please bring that with you as well should there be any problems with your registration.

7. Where and when can I register on-site?

Thursday registration is from 7am to 1pm at the Ramkota -- Dakota Ballroom foyer.  You may also register from 5pm-7pm Thursday at the Civic Center.  On Friday and Saturday you can register at the Civic Center.  Friday from 7am to 5pm and Saturday from 7:30am to 11:30am.

8. Is there a dress code?

What you wear is up to you.  Some attendees wear their uniforms while many wear casual attire.  We recommend you dress for comfort as you enjoy the classes and exhibit hall.  A light jacket or sweater is always recommended as room temperatures vary.

9. What is the refund/cancellation policy?

Membership or Society Dues are NOT refundable.  Conference registration fees will be refunded less a $25.00 administrative fee, if written cancellation is received by 4:30pm on Monday, March 23, 2009.  No refunds will be made in the case where no written notification is provided to NDEMSA by the deadline.  All refund requests received before March 23 will be processed AFTER EMS Rendezvous.

10. Is there a discount for attending conference?

A discount is available to ND licensed or certified EMS providers who serve on a ND licensed or certified ambulance service, QRU or rescue squad.  This discount is verified with ND DEMST and will not be accepted if you don’t meet this criteria.  The discount includes: $25.00 ½ day Thursday workshop, or $45.00 1 day conference, $90 2 day conference attendance or $135 if you attend all day Thursday-Friday-Saturday.

12. What can we expect in 2009 for visiting the Exhibit Hall?

We are excited this year for 30 plus vendors and continued improvement in the layout of the exhibit hall.  To meet the requests of our vendors, we changed the vendor hall hours and added the NEW VENDOR PREVIEW this year on Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30pm.  There will be a cash bar and enjoy Hors D’oeuvres while exploring the vendor hall at the Civic Center.  The new exhibit hours in 2009 are Friday from 9am to 5:30pm and Saturday from 9am to 2:30pm.
