GENERAL INFORMATION
Emergency Medical Responder (First Responder) Recertification
EMR’s can attend the 2017 EMS Rendezvous to recertify their EMR certification. You must obtain 16 hours of CEU credits by attending 8 hours of specific NCCR content, and 8 hours of LCCR content. If you do not receive the entire 16 hours of CEU’s at the Rendezvous you can obtain remaining hours at your EMS agency or elsewhere. Please see the chart below or visit our website for more information on the subject matter for each NCCR category.
A handout will be provided at the Rendezvous to better assist EMR’s on which NCCR sessions are applicable to their recertification.
Required National (NCCR) = 8 Hours

Airway, Respiration and Ventilation – 1 hour Cardiovascular – 2.5 hours Trauma – 0.5 hour Medical – 3 hours Operations – 1 hour
*CPR refresher completion is applicable toward 2.5 NCCR hours in the Airway and Cardiovascular categories. |
Required Local (LCCR) = 4 Hours
Required Individual (ICCR) = 4 Hours |
You must have at least three (3) different subjects in the LCCR and ICCR categories. This can include EVOC, Auto Extrication, and other medical-related courses and certifications. |
Law Enforcement
NDEMSA has secured continuing education credits for Law Enforcement from the ND POST Board. If you are taking advantage of these hours, please sign-in on the POST registration sheet. One sheet is available for each day.
Nursing
The North Dakota Board of Nursing has approved 23 concurrent sessions and 2 general sessions for nursing contact hours. The course number assigned is 1499 and the approved sessions are below. Please visit the registration desk for the evaluation and further information.
