The Southwest Region EMS Conference is being held September 30 and October 1, 2017 at the Medora Community Center. Once again, NDEMSA is excited to partner up awith North Dakota Safety Council again to offer Oil and Gas Training to Emergency First Responders.
The weekend is going to start with a preconference Friday, September 29th with the Region's and SIM ND. Regions is partnering with SIM ND to provide an afternoon of classroom and hands-on training. A few of the topics Regions will be covering are Trauma Triage, OB Emergency, Hemorrhage Control and CNS Injuries
Saturday will have a wide variety of breakout sessions featuring both LCCR and NCCR hours. Pediatric Trauma and Transportation, Workplace Violence, Diabetes, ACS, Opioid Awareness, Crew Resource Management, Worksites in the Bakken: Unique Risks for Emergency Responders, Responding to Pipeline Emergencies, and Pain Management.
Sunday sessions include Infectious Disease, Immunological, Artificial Ventilation. Advanced Airway in Perfusing Patient, Evidence Based Guidelines, Ambulance Safety, Fluid Resuscitation. Hygiene/ Vaccinations, Cardiac Arrest, and Disasters Engagement, and Resilience.
Registration for the SW conference will be available August 15th, 2017. There is still time to book your hotel under the NDEMSA block at the American Inn Motel and Suites for 82.10 a night. The block will be closed August 29th. We hope to see you in September!

NDEMSA has made lodging arrangements with the AmericInn Motel. The room block will be released on August 24th at the AmericInn. Make your reservations soon!! Be sure to mention that you are with the EMS Conference when making your reservations. After the release date additional rooms may be available at any of the hotels in Medora, however the special conference pricing may no longer be available.

Because of the National Registry EMT Pilot Project for North Dakota refreshers are essentially a thing of the past. You will need to complete your designated hours in the National, Local, and Individual hour categories. At the SW Conference you will find hours in the National category as well as hours that can be applied to either Local or Individual categories. Please view the chart below for more information.
